What is a Family Medicine Doctor?

These doctors take care of your whole family. They see patients of all ages, from newborns to older adult.

They provide personalized attention—helping you stay well and get better when you’re sick or injured. If you need to see a specialist, your doctor can refer you to an expert and coordinate your care.

For more information, see our family medicine fact sheet.

Just like your doctor, they’re focused on your overall health and wellness.
